Village Station 1893 Restaurant in Lumberton

I would normally have a better review but the parking is terrible and the wait has been long the past few trips. All staff is courteous and helpful. The restaurant is clean and even before they moved across the street, the food has always been good. But like all steak houses, they are starting to have an ordinary taste. The salad bar is good. But as I said, beware of the lack of parking and the lack of lighting in parking areas and possibly long wait times.

Pizza and salad. All u can eat. Very good. Price is good too!

Or some kind of reason I love going there they don't have Buffet is probably the only place it doesn't have one around here the food is delicious The Waitresses are nice kind that go above and beyond very clean restrooms. But I do know that they have Buffet breakfasts on Sunday and lunch the place is always packed

Stopped in on the return trip home. Was suggested by the host to get the Steak. Really glad I did. My family enjoyed the buffet option as well. The service is great and the prices are good as well. Highly recommend.

Missed the buffet night that everyone talks about, but the food was tasty, fresh and just plain good! Service was excellent!! My husband loved the salad bar.Was checked on by multiple staff members... cool atmosphere too!

Village station has ALWAYS been one of my favorite places to eat!! I grew up eating those AMAZING beef tips with that 😍 SALAD BAR!!! If you are passing through Lumberton, it will NOT disappoint ❤

Best of Both Worlds .. Menu / Buffet .. Quality Foods Cooked To Perfection Everytime

First time here. Traveling. Good food.

We have stopped here multiple times on our travels over the years. The buffet is stocked with southern style comfort food and is delicious. Each time we have been there the buffet side of the restaurant is busy and the food is hot and fresh. For under $15 a person this was a steal in my opinion.

I have to knock this along to another instance of... Fairly bland food, and what isn't bland is lightly proportioned. The prices however... Don't reflect that at all. You're practically paying 20+$ on something you could cook at home for 1/4 the price. I would only recommend Village station to the motel bound, or those without power.

Stopped here 2months ago and had the Hawaiian chicken and ribeye steak with a sweet potato and salad.. That was the juiciest steak I've ever cut into and the taste was best I've had. Cooked just the way I like it (no pink) The Hawaiian chicken had a glaze on it that was second to none... The salad was fresh (no brown) and the sweet potato was huge as if it came out of my granddaddy's garden back in the day. My fiancee ordered the same and our total was under 50$... I would highy recommend this restaurant if you stop in Lumberton NC

All the food was delicious! The Buffet was well stocked and maintained! Fried squash was yummy! And good ole southern cooking and sweet tea! Not sure what the Oreo Fluff was made with but I want the recipe! Now for a nap as my husband drives me home! Definitely will stop here again! Our waitress was Very pleasant wishing her a safe delivery on her sweet baby boy Due January 4.

Old southern charm might be the best way to describe this place. They have an all you can eat buffett. Really good beef tips and rice. They have a meeting room in the back for groups.

I’ve been here several times, the pizza and salad buffet is a good choice on Tuesday, both are very good. The salad bar has a huge selection to top your salad and every type pizza you can imagine. Also, the country cooking buffet on the other side is delicious too.

Went with Catfish in mind but was told that now that's only on Thursday , went with Beef tips which is always a winner & they have a nice salad bar & all the yeast rolls that you can eat

We had never ate at this restraunt. They had a great salad bar. Plus we had a great time talking with our waitress. I would recommend this restraunt if traveling down I 95.

Village Station is some what cumbersome to enter. It is located right off of interstate 95. Once in the restaurant you are friendly greeted. They offer a full menu, bar, and buffet on certain days. They have a nice salad bar with several toppings. On Tuesday’s there is a pizza buffet. It reminds me of Sir Pizza buffet. They also had a baked spaghetti. It is reasonably priced.

Terrible food. Salad bar has shredded lettuce on it. Also found lots of items with bad spots on them. Waited for 30 minutes for a half done cold baked potato. Would give this place one or no stars if it wasn't for the wait staff. They were good and tried hard to make things better.

Traveling through Lumberton in N.C. decided to try it. Good mozzarella sticks, son liked the pizza buffet, they have a good Ranch dressing on the salad bar.But I ordered a steak with No flavor to it.

Great food chopped steak with mash potatoes is my personal favorite. Remember steak fries dont have no steak more like cheese fries

Tried to eat here; didn't happen. Waited over 10 minutes to be sat by a host. During that time, multiple servers walked past us. While sitting at the table, we waited 15 minutes and then left. During that time, 4 servers walked past us and not a single one stopped to even take a drink order. One of the servers threw silverware in a bin behind our booth so hard that it actually moved the seat of the booth. The restaurant itself was cute but I would never go back to this place strictly due to lack of service.

Great Southern Soul food, salad bar was great and the prime meat ribs were amazing. Wife got the Catfish and it was cook golden brown. I know we will be coming here again.

This is a sweet little place, right off the highway. We stopped on our way from Florida to Virginia. I had the Eggplant Parmesan with pasta. It was surprising tasty (this is NOT an Italian Restaurant) The staff was attentive and the manager came out to inquire about how we liked our food. The atmosphere was nice - quaint and it seemed there were quite a few locals around. It made for an enjoyable evening and I would actually seek this place out again when traveling the East Coast.

4 stars for the salad bar and fresh rolls with butter they bring you. Sweet tea is always good. I always get the same thing because nothing is really a standout imo. I get the 9 oz Colorado ribye steak with seasoned fries and salad. It's a pretty good steak for the money though it is a little small. They have bigger ones but prices go up a little too much for the quality. Overall it's a good place to eat. Buffet has never impressed me and pizza is bland.

Came on tuesday for the Pizza Buffet. wasn't a huge fan of the pizza (ordinary thin crust) but the baked spaghetti and Salad bar were both really good.Awesome Service! Overall, for a $6.49 pizza buffet, I definately think it's worth another trip just for the pasta and salad.
